This bench is in memorial of my father who used to walk to this spot from Appley Bridge, pause here for a while to feed a pheasant who became used to his arrival every evening, before returning home. The memorial reads, Rest for a while, leave with a smile.
I too have a rest here, love the view and deffo leave with a smile - I thank your Dad, although my father is prob trying to shoot that pheasant thats with them both.
