As at 2 August 2020 the towpath was closed for bridge repairs between bridges 1 and 2A. No diversion given.
Heading for Leeds:
Take the footpath onto Bank Road
Head north on Bank Rd towards Kenilworth St
Turn right onto Strand Rd
At the roundabout, take the 1st exit onto Washington Parade
Turn right onto Marsh Ln/A5098
Turn right onto Stanley Rd/A567
Drop down to towpath at the bridge
