Look out on the South side for Elam Grange a run-down but very beautiful range of late 17th century farm buildings with 18th century additions. there is also a very hard-to-spot limekiln built into the canalbank retaining wall. The top has trees growing on it and the opening of the kiln is invisible from the canal. Watch out for the bulge in the retaining wall extending into the field. Don't be surprised if you can't find it!
