Thanks for a fantastic set of photos. There is a replica of a gantry used to tip coal into the barges on the opposite bank of the canal. I was born in Haig Street 50 yards from here.
thanks for this interesting and useful set of photos - 2 of us will be working this flight of locks in October, my husband for the first time, me for the second time. the first time was in the late 60s.
