i grew up round there ive sat in that spot many a time

I went to rose bridge school and remember the steel bridge, it was a mini Sydney harbour bridge painted silver. The local hard guys used to jump off it into the canal for fun in the summer, not me! 1970 the school cross country run was along the canal bank upto the bridge then turn left into a field, around the pond and then back to school, twice round the pond if you were a 3rd or 4th year kid. All those years ago I'm sure I was the poorest kid in the area, I now live in Biarritz in southern France, how times change.
