I used to pay my Aunt a visit every summer holidays from London back in the 50's and my fondest memories of Chorley are the canals. My Aunt worked in the Cotton Mill which is in ur photo and she used to wear clogs to work. We used to walk the canals many a day and go to Rivington Hall and then work our way up to the Pennines. I now live happily in Australia and one of my fondest memories is the canals and scenery.
